Five years after "The Final Frontier" and Bruce Dickinson's serious illness in the meantime, "The Book Of Souls", a 92-minute long, fearless album, is released. Between 2014 and 2017, Parlophone Records released the albums Dance Of Death / A Matter Of Life And Death (standard and collector's editions) / The Final Frontier and in 2015 the double album The Book Of Souls, which continues the series of reissues of the Iron Maiden catalogue in digipack form with the fourth and final volume of The Studio Collection - Remastered series. The Studio Collection - Remastered follows on from the 2014 / 2017 releases on black vinyl and the Mastered For iTunes project, and features recordings derived from the same remasters as the 2015 digital hi-res release. The Book Of Souls' last studio album The Book Of Souls was released in the same sound quality in the same year, but now appears for the first time in digipack form. The albums in The Studio Collection - Remastered series replace the previously available catalogue of studio albums. As an added bonus for collectors, one CD from each series is available in a special artwork featuring a 1:24 scale model and exclusive patch. In this latest series, it is the book A Matter of Life and Death.

Iron Maiden : The Book of Souls is the sixteenth studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden , released on 4 September 2015. It is the band's first studio album in five years and the first with new singer Bruce Dickinson since 1992's Fear of the Dark. The album was recorded in Paris, France at Guillaume Tell Studios in late 2014 and early 2015. The album's title track was released as a single on 17 July 2015. The album was promoted by the Book of Souls World Tour, which began in February 2016. The album was met with mostly positive reviews from music critics. On Metacritic, which assigns a standard rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 78, which is a "generally favorable rating" based on 9 reviews. Eduardo Rivadavia of AllMusic gave the album 4.5 stars out of 5, stating that "The Book of Souls is an extremely ambitious and ultimately triumphant heavy metal album from a band that is still going strong after more than three decades of recording and touring".
