Both singles illustrate Bay's evolution towards a louder sound and transistor guitars. He recorded the album with Jon Green and Paul Epworth(BrunoMars/Coldplay/PaulMcCartney).

James Bay is the definition of a modern rock star. His debut album Chaos And The Calm, which features hits like Hold Back The River a Let It Gowas nominated for Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song and Best Newcomer Album. It went gold, platinum or even double platinum in many countries and has racked up over 2.7 billion streams in total. Bay himself was subsequently awarded the BRIT Award and MTV's Best New Artist, among others. Last but not least, James Bay is also dedicated to charity.
