The live recording was originally released on March 31, 2009. The recording was made at a concert on 17 July 2008 at London's O2 Arena. About 20,000 fans came to see the Canadian singer-songwriter live. Prior to the tour, Cohen had not performed on stage for almost 15 years and, among other things, had taken a long break in a Buddhist monastery. During this legendary evening in London, he played a total of 26 songs, including classics like "Hallelujah," "Who By Fire," "The Future," "Democracy," "Winter Lady," "Suzanne," "Take This Waltz" and many more.
