Nina Simone and Her Friends" was first released by Bethlehem Records as a compilation album consisting of leftover and previously unreleased tracks from the recording of "Little Girl Blue" and two additional songs recorded by singers Carmen McRae and Chris Connor, both former Bethlehem Records artists.
