"Ummagumma" is the fourth LPm album by Pink Floyd. The album was originally released in October 1969. It is also the band's first double album, consisting of a live and studio portion. The live recordings were made at two concerts at the College of Commerce in Manchester and at the Mother's Club in Cambridge. Pink Floyd took a less conventional approach to recording the studio part. Each of the four band members had a quarter of the LP available for their own recordings. This resulted in, among other things, Roger Waters' folk ballad "Grantchester Meadows" and Gilmour's three-part psychedelic rock song "The Narrow Way". The recording of "Ummagumma" took place at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London. Norman Smith, who had also worked as a sound engineer for the Beatles, sat behind the mixing desk, as he had for their first two albums. The legendary double album is finally back on vinyl This is what Pink Floyd fans have been waiting for. The rock legends are gradually re-releasing all their albums on LP. In June 2016, the band's first four albums will be released, including "Ummagumma". For the reissue, all the songs on the album have been completely remastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plant and Bernie Grundman. Along with "Ummagumma", the albums "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn", "A Saucerful Of Secrets" and "More" were also re-released. All reissues are released on 180g heavyweight vinyl. The cover artwork is the original design. Pink Floyd's first double album.
