Queen: Live Around The World A lemezen lévő változat bakelitlemez 2LP - standard kiadás. Ez a különleges kiadás - Európa a kiadó által EMI év 2. október 2020.
Since their first appearance together in 2009, when Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor appeared as guests on the finale of the eighth season of American Idol, featuring Adam Lambert, Queen + Adam Lambert have become one of the most-attended touring groups in the world. On their recent tour of Oceania, they sold out huge crowds, with a single concert at ANZ Stadium in Sydney attracting a record 60,000 people. To date, the band has been seen by almost 4 million people worldwide. If it were any other time, Brian, Roger and Adam would have just completed another tour with a colossal run of 27 shows in 9 European countries. However, the arrival of COVID-19 has forced them to postpone their upcoming summer tour of the UK and Europe until next year. With this in mind, Queen + Adam Lambert looked for other ways to please the nearly half a million disappointed fans who already had tickets. That's when they first turned to YouTube. With 12.5 million subscribers already watching, they were no strangers to the platform. The band presented a special one-hour Queen + Adam Lambert "Tour Watch Party" show that included live clips from previous tours around the world. Positive feedback from fans around the world showed that the show could go on despite the worldwide blackout of live performances. However, it wasn't just the 500,000+ spectators who were impressed, but the band themselves. The set includes a compilation of concert highlights that Taylor, May and Lambert personally selected from the more than 200 shows they performed at, some of which are available here for the first time. These include shows ranging from Rock in Rio in Lisbon to the Isle of Wight Festival in the UK, Summer Sonic in Japan, selected UK and North American tours and one of the last shows before the band's retirement - the Fire Fight Australia benefit show. All formats include the band's full 22-minute performance at Fire Fight Australia, where the band played the entire original historic Live Aid 1985 set: Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga, Hammer To Fall, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions. There's even Freddie Mercury's iconic Ay-Oh. Among the twenty tracks, you'll find Queen fan favourites such as Don't Stop Me Now and I Want To Break Free, as well as rarities such as Freddie Mercury's versions of Love Kills and I Was Born To Love You. The live album is available on CD, CD+DVD, CD+Blu-ray and vinyl, with the DVD and Blu-ray featuring additional performance footage including Roger Taylor's "Drum Battle" with drummer's son Rufus Taylor and Brian May's guitar solo "Last Horizon". Queen + Adam Lambert's only released track to date, their locked version of "You Are The Champions," with proceeds going to the World Health Organization's Covid-19 Solidarity Response Fund, was viewed nearly four million times on YouTube in its first month.
