Recently, Per Gessle hinted at the release of their previously unreleased song "Let Your Heart Dance With Me", and now the time has come: this Friday (October 30), the first part of a four-volume set of previously unreleased or long-lost Roxette recordings from 1986-2016 will be released. "Bag Of Trix - Music From The Roxette Vaults" is a 3CD/4LP collection of 46 previously unreleased or long lost recordings, demos, alternate mixes, Spanish versions, bonus tracks and other fun stuff from the band's long, illustrious and hugely successful run from 1986 to 2016. The first volume of "Bag Of Trix" will be released on October 30 and features 12 songs that were written over the course of 30 years: From the demo "Like Lovers Do", recorded in the summer of 1986 during the pre-recording of Roxette's debut album "Pearls Of Passion", to the new single "Let Your Heart Dance With Me", a leftover from the recording of 2016's "Good Karma", "Bag Of Trix" offers a rare glimpse into the career of one of Sweden's most exciting pop groups. Especially worth a listen is the American mix of Brian Malouf's single "Joyride," which became Roxette's fourth hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in the spring of 1991. As an album version, this song is one of the acknowledged classics in the Roxette catalog, but few people outside the U.S. have probably heard this captivating single mix yet. "Bag Of Trix" also includes an acoustic demo of Maria Fredriksson and Per Gessle's "Hotblooded" and an unplugged version of "Listen To Your Heart," their second #1 single in the U.S., recorded alongside their rendition of the Beatles' masterpiece "Help!" at London's Abbey Road Studios in the autumn of 1995. For Marie Fredrikkson's millions of fans, the set will also include three demos of her songs "Pocketful Of Rain", "Beautiful Boy" and "Waiting For The Rain", only the latter of which has ever appeared on a Roxette album. "Marie and I loved recording music together in the studio. Looking back, it's amazing how much material we produced - far more than we ever released. I think the amazing Roxette circus we were in at the time was very stimulating," says Per Gessle. "A lot of the stuff that was 'only' released as bonus material on CD singles in Japan back then, or maybe not released at all, I see as an interesting part of our catalogue today. That's why I think 'Bag Of Trix' is a very exciting listening experience, especially for our long-time listeners."
