Norwegian black metal band

Aeternus is a Norwegian black/death metal band that was formed in 1993 by guitarist and vocalist Ares. The band is known for its dark and atmospheric music that often incorporates elements of Viking and folk themes. Throughout their career, Aeternus has been recognized for their intense and brooding sound, which has evolved over time while maintaining a consistent foundation in extreme metal. They have released several albums, with "Beyond The Wandering Moon" being their debut full-length album, released in 1997. This was followed by "...And So The Night Became" in 1998 and "...And The Seventh His Soul Detesteth" in 2013, among others. The band's lineup has seen changes over the years, but Ares has remained the core member, driving the creative direction of the band. Aeternus has contributed significantly to the Norwegian metal scene and has garnered a dedicated following within the black and death metal communities.
