UK Experimental Black Metal Project

Caïna is the solo project of British musician Andrew Curtis-Brignell. The project was started in 2004 and has been known for its experimental approach to black metal, incorporating elements from various genres including ambient, post-rock, and electronic music. Over the years, Caïna has released several albums, with "Hands That Pluck" (2011), "Christ Clad in White Phosphorus" (2013), and "Gentle Illness" (2019) being among them. The music of Caïna is characterized by its atmospheric and often emotionally intense nature, with Curtis-Brignell being the primary force behind the project's evolving sound. Throughout its existence, Caïna has received attention for pushing the boundaries of black metal and for its deeply personal and introspective lyrical themes.
