Elisabeth Jansson

Swedish Contemporary Pop Artist

Swedish mezzo-soprano vocalistborn February 10, 1976 in Stockholm. She was educated at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich 1996–1999, the Royal Academy of Music in London in 1999 and the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen where she graduated in 2004. She made her debut at the Royal Theater in Copenhagen as Cherubino in Mozart's Figaro's wedding in 2003. this year she sang Hänsel in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel in a co-production between the Opera Academy and the Amateu, r Symphony Orchestra. At The Royal, she has also sung Hermia in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream and Valkyrian Rossweisse in Wagner's Valkyrian (both 2004).
