Enya, born Eithne Pádraigín Ní Bhraonáin on May 17, 1961, is an Irish singer, songwriter, and musician known for her distinctive style that blends elements of folk music, new age, and classical with ethereal vocals and synthesized backdrops. She began her music career when she joined her family's Celtic band Clannad in 1980 before leaving to pursue a solo career. Enya gained a substantial international following with the release of her album "Watermark" in 1988, which included the hit single "Orinoco Flow." This track became synonymous with her unique sound and helped propel her to global fame.
