It's A Beautiful Day was an American band formed in San Francisco in 1967 by violinist David LaFlamme and his wife, Linda LaFlamme, on keyboards. The group created a unique blend of rock, jazz, folk, classical, and worldbeat styles during the height of the psychedelic era. Their self-titled debut album "It's A Beautiful Day," released in 1969, featured their most famous song, "White Bird," a melancholic ballad that became a counterculture anthem. The band's follow-up album, "Marrying Maiden," was released in 1970 and continued to showcase their distinctive sound. Throughout their career, It's A Beautiful Day went through numerous lineup changes and faced challenges such as legal disputes over the band's name.
