British Pub Rock Band

Formed in 1973 as a british pub band. A one-hit-wonder with the single 'Little Does She Know' in 1976. Disbanded in 1977, and re-united in 1985. Members: Paul Shuttleworth (vocals) Richie Bull (banjo, from 1975: bass) Will Birch (drums) Vic Collins (pedal steel guitar) Graeme Douglas (guitar, 1973-1976) Dave Hatfield (bass, 1973-1975) Barry Martin (guitar from 1976) John Wicks (guitar, 1977) The Kursaal was a renowned ballroom on the seafront at Southend-on-Sea in Essex. Each year The Kursaal would be represented in the town carnival by a large novelty train, known as "The Kursaal Flyer". It is this that inspired the name for the group.
