Rosetta Stone

Rosetta Stone is a British gothic rock band that was formed in the mid-1980s by Porl King (guitars, vocals) and Karl North (bass), along with a drum machine. The band is not particularly known for the albums "Adrenaline," "Cryptology," or "Demos and rare tracks 1987-1989," which suggests these titles may not be part of their discography or could be incorrectly attributed to them. Rosetta Stone initially gained popularity in the gothic scene with their first official studio album, "An Eye for the Main Chance," which was released in 1991. They followed this with several more albums throughout the 1990s, including "Adrenaline" (1993) and "Chemical Emissions" (1994). Their music typically featured a blend of dark, melodic elements with electronic influences. After a period of inactivity, Porl King revived the name for new music in the late 2010s, releasing an album titled "Seems Like Forever" in 2019.
