Shunske Sato is a renowned Japanese-American violinist and conductor, celebrated for his versatile musicianship and his expertise in both modern and historical performance practices. He has gained international acclaim for his interpretations of a wide range of repertoire, from Baroque to contemporary works. Sato is particularly noted for his performances on period instruments, and he serves as the concertmaster of the Netherlands Bach Society, a position that highlights his proficiency in Baroque music. In addition to his role with the Netherlands Bach Society, he has also led as concertmaster for ensembles such as Concerto Köln and the Berliner Philharmoniker's Baroque ensemble.
