Team Dresch is an influential band in the queercore punk scene, known for their raw and passionate music that addresses issues of sexuality, identity, and social justice. Formed in Portland, Oregon in 1993, the band consists of members Jody Bleyle, Donna Dresch, Kaia Wilson, and Marcéo Martinez. They quickly made a name for themselves with their debut album "Personal Best" in 1995, which was celebrated for its powerful lyrics and energetic sound. Following up with "Captain My Captain" in 1996, they continued to build a loyal fanbase and contribute significantly to the punk scene and LGBTQ+ community. The band went on hiatus after their initial run of success but reunited several times over the years to tour and release new music. Their compilation album "Choices, Chances, Changes: Singles & Comptracks 1994-2000" showcases a range of their work from that era. Team Dresch's impact on punk music and queer culture remains significant, as they continue to inspire new generations of musicians and activists.
