Mysterious punk rock side project of Green Day members

The Network is a six-piece new wave band that emerged in the early 2000s. They are often shrouded in mystery and are known for their eccentric presentation, wearing masks and adopting pseudonyms. The band released their debut album "Money Money 2020" in 2003 through Adeline Records, which was owned by Green Day's frontman Billie Joe Armstrong. Despite the group's efforts to maintain an enigmatic presence, speculation has been rife that The Network is a side project of Green Day members, although this has never been officially confirmed by the band. The Network's music is characterized by a distinct sound that blends elements of punk rock with new wave and synth-pop influences. Over the years, they have maintained a cult following and have re-emerged after a long hiatus with the release of "Money Money 2020 Part II: We Told Ya So!" in December 2020, which serves as a follow-up to their debut album.
