The Only Ones

The Only Ones are an English rock band that formed in 1976, originally consisting of Peter Perrett (vocals, guitar), John Perry (guitar), Alan Mair (bass), and Mike Kellie (drums). They are best known for their song "Another Girl, Another Planet," which has since become a classic track and is often cited as an influential song in the power pop and punk genres. The band released their self-titled debut album, "The Only Ones," in 1978, which was followed by "Even Serpents Shine" in 1979. Their third studio album, "Baby's Got A Gun," was released in 1980. Despite critical acclaim, The Only Ones struggled to achieve commercial success and disbanded in 1982. However, they have since gained a cult following and reunited several times for tours and live performances. Their music is characterized by Perrett's distinctive vocals and Perry's guitar work, blending elements of punk rock with melodic songwriting.
