The Sensational Alex Harvey Band (SAHB) was a glam rock band formed in Glasgow, Scotland in 1972. The band was fronted by Alex Harvey, an enigmatic and theatrical performer with a diverse musical background that included blues, rock, and soul. The group is known for their energetic live performances and their unique blend of hard rock with a vaudevillian twist. They achieved considerable success in the UK in the 1970s with albums such as "Framed" (1972) and "Next..." (1973), which showcased their eclectic style and Harvey's distinctive voice. The band's lineup featured Alex Harvey on vocals, Zal Cleminson on guitar, Chris Glen on bass, Hugh McKenna on keyboards, and Ted McKenna on drums. Despite never breaking through to mainstream success in the United States, SAHB developed a cult following and influenced many musicians with their theatrical stage presence and fusion of genres. The band continued to record and perform until Harvey's untimely death in 1982.
