10cc

British rock and pop group

10cc is an English rock band that was formed in Stockport, England, in 1972. The original lineup consisted of Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme. The band is known for their innovative and artful approach to pop music, characterized by their witty lyrics, complex harmonies, and inventive production techniques. They achieved commercial success and critical acclaim in the 1970s with a string of hit singles and albums. Their self-titled debut album "10cc" was released in 1973 and included the hit song "Rubber Bullets." The band's third album, "The Original Soundtrack," released in 1975, featured the timeless ballad "I'm Not in Love," which became a worldwide hit and remains one of their most well-known songs. Following the release of "How Dare You!" in 1976, Godley and Creme left the band to pursue other projects. Stewart and Gouldman continued as 10cc and released "Deceptive Bends" in 1977, which included hits such as "The Things We Do for Love." Despite changes in their lineup over the years, 10cc has continued to tour and record music, leaving a lasting legacy on the landscape of British rock music.
