Def Jam Recordings is releasing a 30th anniversary LP edition of the Beastie Boys' great debut album "Licensed To Ill" (the LP has been out since 2007!) The album was originally released in 1986 - with production legend Rick Rubin. He was partly responsible for the band's signature crossover sound, whose hip-hop rhythms and metal riffs (Kerry King of Slayer on guitar!) became the soundtrack of teenage rebellion everywhere. "Licensed To Ill" features some of the Beastie Boys' biggest hits, including "(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)," "No Sleep Till Brooklyn" and "Brass Monkey." Rolling Stone magazine even called the album "the greatest debut album of all time".
