For me, as the producer of this project, it was a balm to the soul to see and hear these iconic musicians sitting in their old Cajun living rooms, playing their instruments unaccompanied and making the music that they and I grew up on and have loved since childhood. Each of the musicians played one of their favorite Cajun songs masterfully, effortlessly and soulfully on the instrument they love the most.
