TheT2 W turntable belongs to the Plug & Play category, which means that it is not only equipped with a 9" m arm and a Sumiko Rainier MM transmission with elliptical spike, but it even has a preset pressure from the factory. So all you have to do is put the strap on the sub platter, place the turntable on it, put the record on and once you connect the turntable you can start playing. The whole operation of setting up the turntable is very user-friendly and takes only units of minutes.

The9" aluminium arm has an effective length of 230 mm, a bearing with minimum friction, viscous damped liftingThis interesting solution is used for the first time in a Pro-Ject turntable.The arm is one-piece with ½" mounting and the supplied Sumiko Rainier transmission can therefore be replaced at any time in the future. The dominant aesthetic element of the turntable is the 10 mm thick clear glass platter. Thanks to its weight of 1.7 kg, it guarantees minimal speed fluctuations. The platter is driven by a short flat drive belt through a sub-platter on an ultra-precise (0.001 mm) main bearing with a hardened steel axis.

The synchronous motor is powered by electronics that allow electronic speed switching between 33.3 and 45 rpm. The electronics also control the stability of the rotation speed. The speed rocker switch is conveniently located on the left side of the chassis. The turntable's electronics also include a newly designed phono preamplifier with passive RIAA correction suitable for MM-type cartridges.This is the first time that a Pro-Ject turntable has used an integrated phono preamplifier of this quality level, precisely because of the need to ensure high sound quality when streaming.(In the picture of the electronics panel below, you can see the size and careful separation of the preamplifier located on the right from the digital components housed on the left).

The turntable chassis is made from precision-machined MDF with a gloss black micro veneer finish, which can alternatively be walnut or matt white. Three cushioned feet serve as the base to help eliminate vibrations transmitted to the turntable from the surroundings. The base plate is free of any plastic parts which again reduces vibration transmission and extends the life of the turntable.
