Christopher Page

Christopher Page is a renowned scholar, writer, and musician, particularly known for his expertise in medieval music. He founded the Gothic Voices ensemble in 1980, a British vocal ensemble that has become one of the leading groups in the performance of medieval music. Under Page's direction, Gothic Voices has released numerous albums with a focus on historically informed performances of early music. Among their acclaimed recordings are "A Feather On The Breath Of God," which features sequences and hymns by the 12th-century German abbess and mystic Hildegard of Bingen, and "The Service of Venus and Mars," which includes music from the time of Chaucer. Another notable album is "The Spirits of England and France 4 - Missa Caput and The Story of the Salve Regina," which explores liturgical music from the late Middle Ages.
