British Early Music Vocal Ensemble

Gothic Voices is a British ensemble dedicated to the performance of medieval music, particularly that of the 11th to 15th centuries. Founded in 1980 by scholar and musician Christopher Page, the group is known for its purity of sound and adherence to historical performance practices. Gothic Voices gained widespread recognition with their 1982 album "A Feather on the Breath of God," which features sequences and hymns by the 12th-century German abbess, writer, composer, and mystic Hildegard of Bingen. The album was highly acclaimed for its ethereal and pure interpretation of Hildegard's compositions.
