George Ezra: "Wanted On Voyage" - Incredibly talented newcomer George Ezra has become an enviable newcomer to pop music at just 20 years old. His name is on everyone's lips. The 21-year-old musician, who was born in Hertford, doesn't understand how it happened. However, the hype around the young singer has clearly not yet gone to his head - even today, he reacts to the numerous mentions in "One To Watch in 2014" lists with incredulous embarrassment. The singer with the deep bluesy voice became a pan-European hit with the single "Budapest" from the album "Wanted On Voyage". So the pop prophets were right when they predicted it. "Budapest" topped the charts in nine European countries (including Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany) and has sold 160,000 units in Germany alone so far. His second EP "Cassy O" was recently released in the UK and is now followed by his debut album "Wanted On Voyage". "Wanted On Voyage" is right in the middle. The long-playing record is diversely arranged, Ezra doesn't play it safe but also dares to play big melodies with strings. He doesn't overdo it and gives his best. "Wanted On Voyage" can definitely be described as George Ezra's first masterpiece. The young artist has real talent and his debut album already suggests that we can expect many great things from him.
